We waited for weeks for the appearance of our young bird neighbors. The longest time was rewarded our patience with the audible chatter from the said animals. Life flows slowly, like the river in early summer. Elias is the whole day in the studio, where he carves and paints I talk to my garden plants when I'm not working in one of my leather projects. The fresh vegetables, eggs and cheese that we bought a few weeks ago, tend to a close. We are still waiting for the conclusion of a contract relating to a summer job before we make our way to Dawson City to shop. Currently, we enjoy what nature has to offer us in plants. Topping the list: Fireweed (dt forest fireweed) in salad vegetables and pans.
