arrest and immobility: River frozen The Yukon River at Green Creek froze yesterday, 3 December, at about 15 clock.
After seven months in which we constantly saw all the open water that was in perpetual motion, causing a variety of sounds, we feel the sudden silence of the white ice motionless now unusual.
We were very excited to be able to inhabit the play, when the ice jam Green Creek reached.

As a result, and because I still sometimes need a little variety for the eye, sometimes I stare at Elias and the dog when scurrying around in the house. Lance do not mind, but Elias is not very pleased with my obvious interest in its activities.
Not much movement, but still nice to see that my family! 
The frozen river also offers us a new freedom: we can once again travel on the river! In a few weeks it will be possible for us to pick up our mail from Raven to buy fresh eggs and meet other people - after more than two months of seclusion.
